What was announced or recorded
On 7 October 2025, Holywater's press room published a release stating that FOX Entertainment took an equity stake in Holywater, the operator of the vertical-video app My Drama, and that FOX Entertainment Studios committed to producing more than 200 vertical-video titles for the platform within two years. It named two initial productions, Billionaire Blackmail and Bound by Obsession, the latter shooting in Atlanta, and quoted FOX Entertainment chief executive Rob Wade and Holywater co-founders Bogdan Nesvit and Anatolii Kasianov.
What the documents establish
The release states the partnership spans 'original series, ad sales, brand partnerships, and FOX IP extensions', names The Raine Group as Holywater's transaction advisor, and describes Holywater's own reach as 55 million users in what the release calls an '$8 billion global vertical video market', a figure attributed to Holywater rather than independently sourced within the release. Fox Corporation's investor relations site shows the company's next scheduled disclosure after the announcement was its first-quarter fiscal 2026 results, covering the three months ended 30 September 2025 and published 30 October 2025, the first earnings release Fox issued after the Holywater announcement.
Announced versus delivered
That earnings release does not name Holywater, vertical video, or micro-drama anywhere in its text, as checked for this dossier. The 200-title, two-year production commitment is, on the documents opened here, an announced content and equity partnership disclosed only through a press release; it has not, at least not yet per the two documents checked, become a disclosed line item, dollar figure, or risk factor in Fox's own investor materials. That is the distinction this site's house rule asks for: a plan is not the same record as a result, and only one of the two documents here is Fox's own financial disclosure.
What to watch
Editorially, the marker to watch for is the first Fox quarterly release, transcript, or annual filing that names Holywater or vertical video directly; that would be the point the commitment moves from an announced partnership into a disclosed financial fact.
- Does any later Fox Corporation earnings release or filing name Holywater, My Drama, or vertical video?
- Of the 200 titles committed to within two years, how many has Fox Entertainment Studios actually delivered against a stated schedule?
- Is Fox's equity stake in Holywater a disclosed investment amount anywhere in Fox's own financial statements?
An equity stake and a content commitment made in a partner's press release are real announcements, but they are the partner's account of the deal until the investing company's own disclosure says the same thing in its own words.
